Kurt Russell: He received acclaim for his turn in the title role in the made-for-TV movie Elvis (1979). Being cast in director John Carpenter’s futuristic action film Escape from New York (1981), in which he played warrior-turned-criminal Snake Plissken, helped Russell demonstrate a tougher onscreen persona. In 1996, he reprised the role of the eye-patched cult hero in Escape from L.A. Other plays include: Backdraft (1991), Stargate (1994), Breakdown (1997), Dark Blue (2003), Poseidon (2006), Big Trouble In Little China, The Thing, Tombstone etc.



Chosen Fact: Auditioned for the role of Flash Gordon (1980). The part went to Sam J. Jones instead







Jeff Bridges: Bridges began his acting career as an infant, with parts in both TV and film. He broke through in The Last Picture Show (1971), which garnered him an Academy Award nomination. Bridges appeared in popular films such as Heaven's Gate (1980), TRON (1982) and The Big Lebowski (1998). He received Oscar nominations for Starman (1984) and Tucker (1988), and won the award for Crazy Heart (2009).


Chosen Fact: He was considered for the part of Batman/Bruce Wayne in Batman (1989).
